Chore Champs Privacy Policy

Summary

Chore Champs is used by parents with their children. It does not ask for anyone's email address, phone number, full name or location. Without family sync, everything stays on your device.

What you enter

• Kids' first names or nicknames, colours, and an emoji or profile picture
• Chores, rewards, stars, approvals and allowance payouts
• Optional proof photos of finished chores
• A 4-digit parent PIN

Camera and photos

The app uses the camera or photo library only when you choose to take or pick a picture: a kid's profile picture or a photo proving a chore is done. Profile pictures are cropped on your device and stored in the app's private storage. The app does not read anything else from your photo library.

Without family sync

All of this is stored only on your device. Profile pictures and proof photos stay in the app's private storage.

With family sync (Premium)

Family sync stores your family's kids, chores, rewards, approvals, profile pictures and proof photos on our servers (hosted by Supabase) so every family device sees the same data. Each device signs in anonymously: we do not collect email addresses or phone numbers. Data is only visible to devices that joined your family with your family code. Kid devices cannot approve chores or change chores and rewards.

To stop syncing, choose "Stop syncing this phone" in the parent area. This device keeps its copy of your family's data.

Deleting your account and data

In the parent area, choose "Delete my account and data". On a kid's device, tap "For grown-ups" on the home screen first. Deletion happens right away and can't be undone:

• On the phone that created the family, it deletes the family from our servers: kids, profile pictures, chores, rewards, history, proof photos and every device's membership. Other family devices stop syncing and keep only the copy already on them, which you can erase on each device the same way.
• On any other device, it deletes that device's account and removes it from the family. The family's data stays for the other devices.
• In both cases, everything Chore Champs stored on that device is erased.

Without family sync, the same option erases everything on the device; deleting the app does too. Deleting your data does not cancel a Premium subscription: manage that in your App Store or Google Play settings. If you can't use the app, email us with your family code and we will delete your family's synced data within 30 days.

Notifications

The daily chore reminder is scheduled locally on your device.

Children's privacy

The app is designed for parents to set up and supervise. Kid profiles hold only what a parent enters. We do not show ads, we do not use third-party analytics, and we do not share or sell any data. Parents can review, change or delete their children's information in the parent area at any time, or delete it all as described above.

Purchases

Subscriptions are processed by Apple or Google; we never see your payment details.

Changes

If this policy changes we will update the date at the top and, for significant changes, tell you in the app.
